MANHATTAN — A person was seriously injured in a fire at an Upper East Side high-rise early Sunday morning, officials said.

The blaze broke out in a bedroom on the eighth floor of 370 E. 76th St., near First Avenue just after 5 a.m.

Some 20 FDNY units and 80 firefighters rushed to the scene to battle the flames.

One person suffered burns in the fire and was rushed to New York Hospital, where there is a burn center.

FDNY officials said that the fire, which was brought under control at 6 a.m. was not considered suspicious.
