MANHATTAN — A Brooklyn man was nabbed for trying to rape a woman in the East Village earlier this week, police said.
Imre Meszesan, 35, was charged with attempted rape and burglary in the alleged attack on First Avenue on Nov. 13 at 1 a.m., according to cops.
In the incident, the suspect allegedly followed the 27-year-old victim into her apartment, pushed her to the ground and tried to rape her.
But the victim fought him off, forcing the suspect to flee, police said.
In September a man nearly killed a woman during an alleged broad daylight rape on East 8th Street.
