MANHATTAN — A man was seriously injured Tuesday after he got out of his truck on an inclined driveway at a Park Avenue parking garage and was then pinned by his rolling vehicle to the garage door, according to the Daily News.

The unidentified man was hurt at 799 Park Ave., near East 74th Street, just before 11:40 a.m., fire officials said. He was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital in serious condition, officials added.

The truck driver stopped the vehicle before reaching the street and got out, apparently to check something in the back of the truck, the News reported.  The truck started to roll backward into the man, who was squeezed between his vehicle and the garage door, which had been closed shut.

Witnesses told the News the driver was a worker at a construction site in the area.
