MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a man wanted for a pair of bank robberies in Chelsea and Midtown last week.
The suspect struck the TD Bank at 200 W. 26th Street last Weds., Sept. 28, about 12:40 p.m., passing a note to the teller and fleeing the location with an undetermined amount of cash, the NYPD said.
The following day, about 2:30 p.m., he passed a note to a teller at the Emigrant Bank at 5 E. 42nd St. but fled the location empty-handed, police said.
The suspect is described as between 25 and 30 years old, and weighing about 200 pounds. He wore a black and blue sweatshirt and a tan and gold baseball hat during the first incident, and a red T-shirt and New York Yankess hat during the second incident, police added.
