MIDTOWN — Radiohead rocked New York City for the first time in three years on Wednesday night — drawing throngs of fans that lined up around the block, some of whom reportedly shelled out up to $600 to see the British rockers.
The band packed Midtown's Roseland Ballroom with approximately 3,500 fans lucky enough to have scored tickets to the sold-out show — a small venue compared to the arenas they've played in the past.
All tickets for the show were left at the will call window to cut down on scalping, but that didn't stop some people from hawking the ducats for up to $600, Gothamist reported. The tickets, originally $65, sold out within minutes when they went on sale earlier this week.
The band mainly stuck to their newer material, including tracks off their latest album, The King of Limbs.
And shaking things up a bit, they played with two drummers.
The British band also made the most of their visit to the city, playing "The Colbert Report" on Monday.
The band is playing the second of the sold-out two-show series on Thursday.
