Fire Breaks Out on Roof of Madison Avenue Building

MANHATTAN — A fire broke out on the roof of a Murray Hill building Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

The blaze, sparked by a transformer, broke out at 11 Madison Ave. at 3:20 p.m., according to the FDNY.

Some 26 units, comprised of 84 firefighters responded to the call, fire officials said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or people trapped.
