West Village Shops to Host Celebrities, Games for Fashion's Night Out

MANHATTAN — West Village residents can expect their chic neighborhood to get even more fashion-forward Thursday night, for the third annual Fashion's Night Out.

Area retailers are planning an evening of free food and drinks, games, celebrity appearances and product giveaways.

The neighborhood's oft-noted handful of Marc Jacobs stores are expecting hordes of fashionistas to turn out for limited-edition tote bags that are complimentary with any purchase.

"The rain might slow things down a little bit, but we're still expecting a big crowd," Marc Jacobs Collection Accessories supervisor Mike Servito said Wednesday afternoon.

The Collection Accessories store will serve complimentary champagne and have only 100 of the bags on hand, Servito said.

Shoppers at Marc by Marc Jacobs Men's can expect to see Israeli model Bar Rafaeli, according to the Fashion's Night Out website.

"Harry Potter" superstar Daniel Radcliffe is scheduled to appear at upscale boutique Jeffrey, on West 14th Street west of Ninth Avenue. Radcliffe will be on-hand to celebrate the launch of a new clothing line in collaboration with Columbia Sportswear, a store associate confirmed.

Italian cashmere retailer Brunello Cucinelli will host one of the most unique parties of the evening — a foosball tournament attended by four members of the New York Red Bulls, a spokeswoman said.

"Foosball, which is called calcetto in Italy, is part of our company's DNA," the spokeswoman said.

The game is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m. at the 379 Bleecker St. store and will be played on a custom-made foosball table with the store's name printed on it.

The winner will be awarded a pair of scarves from the store.

A few blocks away at the new 407 Bleecker St. Jimmy Choo store, fashion fans can record the night by taking photographs in front of red carpet-style "step and repeat" boards, according to the event's website.
