MANHATTAN — A fire broke out in an Upper East Side building Thursday afternoon, injuring one person, authorities said.

The blaze erupted at 535 E. 78th St., near York Avenue, at 1:25 p.m., according to the FDNY.

One person suffered minor injuries in the fire, which was brought under control at 1:56 p.m., officials said.
