Alternate side parking rules will be suspended Tuesday through Thursday for the end of Ramadan

MANHATTAN — Alternate side of the street parking is suspended from Tuesday through Thursday for the end of Ramadan, according to the Department of Transportation.

That means street-cleaning rules are suspended, but stopping, standing and parking regulations are still in effect.

The three-day holiday of Eid al-Fitr marks the end of a month-long period of fasting during Ramadan. Muslims will gather with family and friends this week to celebrate the end of the fast.
