UPPER WEST SIDE — Momofuku means "lucky peach" in Japanese, and Upper West Siders are indeed lucky. The Momofuku restaurant group has confirmed the location of the new Upper West Side branch of Milk Bar, first reported by DNAinfo.

Milk Bar, the innovative dessert arm of culinary star David Chang's Momofuku eatery empire, will move into 561 Columbus Ave. near West 87th Street this September, West Side Rag reported.

The 460-square-foot location, formerly an Allstate Insurance offce, will be bigger than Milk Bar's East Village, Midtown and Brooklyn outposts, and will include a seating area, Eater reported. Milk Bar's other locations are takeout counters that don't offer seating.

Momofuku did not immediately respond to calls for comment.

Milk Bar is known for treats such as soft-serve ice cream flavored with cereal milk — the milk left in the bowl after eating cereal — and "crack pie," made with oatmeal cookie crust. The menu also includes pork buns, egg sandwiches and "compost cookies" loaded with potato chips, pretzels and coffee grounds.
