MANHATTAN - Two convicted robbers from The Bronx were found shot to death in an East Harlem housing project Saturday night, police said.

After receiving a 911 call at around 9:30 p.m., cops discovered the bullet-riddled body of Nicky Rivera, 36, on the 18th floor of 1345 Fifth Ave., near 112th Street, police said.

Shortly afterwards, they came upon that of Kehmine Brown, 34, in a stairwell between the fifth and sixth floors of the building, which is part of the Taft Houses.

Both men were declared dead at the scene.

Rivera was released from jail last year after serving 15 years on three first degree robbery raps, according to state records.  Sources said that he had six robbery arrests.

Brown served 13 years on a pair of first degree robbery charges before he was released in 2009.

It is not clear whether the men were killed by a separate gunman or if they shot each other.

The motive for the shooting was also not immediately clear.
