Teenage Girl Found Dead in Broome Street Apartment

An 18-year-old girl was found dead in an apartment at 131 Broome St. Saturday morning

MANHATTAN — A teenage girl was found dead inside a Lower East Side apartment Saturday morning.

The 18-year-old, whose name was not released pending family notification, was discovered unconscious and unresponsive inside a bedroom at 131 Broome St., near Pitt Street, just before 8 a.m.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cops do not suspect any criminality, but the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
