CHELSEA — If Harry Potter is wildly popular, and musical theater about evangelical Christians is too, than a comedic musical about Christians against Harry Potter is bound to be a hit, right?

That's the thought behind the Upright Citizens Brigade's "A Harry Potter Musical," a one-night show Friday "of conservative-friendly musical theater."

UCB's Kirk Cameron Repertory Players, who draw inspiration from former teen actor and Christian evangelist trainer Kirk Cameron, have their own take on Pottermania: "witchcraft is evil and Jesus is good," according to the troupe's website.

The group says Dumbledore's Army is no laughing matter.

"The U.S. premiere of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 was last night!  Which means that SATAN IS AT OUR DOORSTEP, PEOPLE!!!" the Kirk Cameron Players wrote on their Tumblr page.

The audience is encouraged to bring Harry Potter books and Leonardo DiCaprio DVDs to the performance for a book and DVD burning.

The show, which starts at 7:30 p.m. at 307 W. 26th St., is sold-out, but those who can work a little magic may be able to get standby tickets, according to the troupe's website.
