WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Northern Manhattan residents will raise their glasses to toast one of its favorite parks Thursday night when the Fort Tryon Park Trust holds its annual wine tasting event.
The "Toast To Fort Tryon Park: Benefit Wine Tasting Soiree" will feature an assortment of wines from co-sponsor Cabrini Wines and food samples from a host of restaurants in Inwood and Washington Heights.
Music from local jazz band Leonisa Ardizzone Trio will serenade park-goers.
Money raised from the event goes toward the park’s restoration, horticultural supplies, maintenance staff, free programs, special events and improvements in the park.
The event will take place on the Linden Terrace at Fort Tryon Park from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase at the door for $50.
