MANHATTAN - Straphangers will be feeling the pain of weekend construction with service on the 7 line suspended in Manhattan.

No trains will be running from Times Square to Queensboro Plaza, according to the MTA's website.

Transit officials suggest taking the E, F, N, Q, shuttle or shuttle buses as alternatives.

The MTA is doing signal work in the Steinway Street Tube, which connects Queens and Manhattan.

Service will also be suspended July 29 to Aug. 1 for the signal modernization project, which is slated to take several years.
