WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Police are searching for the man pictured in this surveillance footage for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in Washington Heights.

The attack was one of three in the neighborhood and nearby Inwood over the weekend. Police believe there are three separate suspects in the cases.

The brazen assaults - all by strangers, and two in public places like Inwood Hill Park - have led to a demand for increased police presence in the neighborhood.

In the attack Sunday, cops say the suspect allegedly followed the 32-year-old woman near W. 184th Street and Broadway.

He then attempted to remove her underwear and sexually assault her.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect trying to make his way into a subway turnstile.

However, his MetroCard doesn't work, so he has to ask the station agent for help, keeping him posed in front of the camera.

The alleged attacker is described as a Hispanic man between 18-25 years old with a medium build, who was wearing a black shirt with a design, patterned shorts, and a black knit hat with red, yellow and green stripes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or text their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
