Police Hunt Sex Assault Suspect

MANHATTAN — Police are looking for a man wanted in connection to a Thursday morning sexual assault on the Upper West Side.

The suspect approached a 20-year-old woman from behind at the intersection of West 75th Street and Broadway at 2:30 a.m., throwing her down to the ground, assaulting her before putting his hands inside her underwear, police said.

The victim fought off her attacker, who ran away. She was treated at a nearby hospital for minor injuries and released, NYPD officials said.

Police are looking for man believed to be between the age of 30 and 40, 200-pounds and five feet, seven inches. He was seen wearing a black polo shirt and black pants.
