MIDTOWN — East Side City Councilman Daniel Garodnick is taking his war against rogue pedicab drivers one step further with new legislation that would force drivers to tell potential customers — in writing — just how much they'll have to pay.

The bill, which is set to be debated at a City Council hearing Monday, comes after Garodnick heard complaints from passengers that they'd been gouged.

Garodnick spokesman Daniel Pasquini said one distressed tourist from Baton Rouge, L.A. told the member's office that he'd been charged a whopping $90 for a jaunt with his two kids from Strawberry Fields at the edge of Central Park to West 59th Street and Sixth Avenue.
