UPPER MANHATTAN — The rush hour commute was snarled for an hour along the A and C line in Washington Heights and Inwood Tuesday.

Trains were halted near 168th Street due to switch problems at the station just after 6:30 a.m., according to the MTA website.

By 7:30 a.m. the problem had been cleared with no residual delays reported on the MTA website.
