The World Science Festival is underway in New York City through Sunday. The festival, taking place at different locations throughout the city, includes panel discussions, exhibitions and visual arts.

Participants include Julie Taymor, who will be part of a discussion about the enigma of genius, Maggie Gyllenhaal, who is starring in a play about Marie Curie, and Columbia physics professor Brian Greene, who will discuss dark matter and energy.

Some of the venues are Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, the Paley Center for Media, and the Tishman Auditorium at the New School.
