CENTRAL PARK — Get ready for sticky summer weather, even if the calendar still says spring.

As the long Memorial Day weekend continued Sunday, tourists and New Yorkers and tourists who didn't head out of town took to Central Park to enjoy the unofficial first days of summer.

The humidity was up on Sunday, making it feel even hotter than the low 80s.

Things are supposed to get even hotter on Monday, with temperatures near 90. It's going to stay hot through Tuesday before cooling off a bit, according to the National Weather Service.

With plenty of sunshine and clear skies, people turned up to throw the Frisbee, play volleyball, or just worship the sun.

"Just your typical day in the park," said Lorna Ashley, 28, of Midtown. "Brunch earlier today and Jones Beach tomorrow."

Laurie Ingham said there was no beating taking a break in the sun.

"It's just really nice out, that's all I can say," said Ingham, 23, a tourist from Manchester, England.

Fresh off a plane from Australia, Kirstie Douglas, 40, said she was happy to escape the chill of the winter Down Under.

"It's fantastic here," she said. "The weather is beautiful."
