CHELSEA — The Fashion Institute of Technology's best and brightest soon-to-be graduates showed off their collections this week at the annual Future of Fashion show.

The runaway show featured collections created by fashion design bachelor of arts students specializing in sportswear, special occasion, knitwear, intimate apparel and children's wear.

Neutrals, especially black, camel and bone, dominated this year's show Wednesday night.

Each student's work was evaluated by judges including Nina Garcia from Marie Clare, Laura Brown of Harper's Bazaar and Hal Rubenstein of InStyle.

In the run-up to the show, students got support from industry critics including Calvin Klein, Carolian Hererra and Narcisco Rodriguez.

For participating students, including some who blogged about the experience for FIT, the runway show is a moment of glamour that closes out months of many long hours hunched over a sewing machine.
