Nearly 50 accidents have been reported at the intersection of Broadway, Tenth Avenue and 218th Street, between March 2008 and March 2011.

The DOT proposed adding signage to the Tenth Avenue portion of the intersection, installing pedestrian signals for crossing from Tenth Avenue to the bus stop island, and adding markings around the columns at Tenth Avenue. Residents said they would meet with DOT representatives to add more safety measures to the Broadway portion of the intersection before the CB12 general meeting.
