UPPER WEST SIDE — A fire broke out on the fifth floor of an Upper West Side apartment building Tuesday afternoon, the fire department said.
The FDNY responded to a call of a fire on the fifth floor of 973 Columbus Avenue about 2:50 p.m., according to the FDNY. They had the blaze under control by 3:15 p.m., fire officials said.
There were no reported injuries, the FDNY said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
