MANHATTAN — Food Network star, bake sale guru and First Girlfriend of New York State Sandra Lee will soon be dishing New Yorkers more than just semi-homemade brownies.
"Sandra by Sandra Lee," a collection of home products bearing the name of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's girlfriend, will hit the shelves of Kmart and Sears starting next spring, according to a press release.
Recently recognized for her Grand Central Terminal bake sale for the Food Bank for New York City, an event she hoped would be the "largest bake sale of all time," Lee won’t stray far from her modus operandi.
Bakeware and cookware will be a major focus of her new line, along with kitchen appliances and gadgets, according to the release.
The "Semi-Homemade Cooking" star, who was once criticized by Italian chefs and Cuomo's mother for her tomato soup/cottage cheese lasagna recipe, hopes to make her customers' lives easier, she said.
"Launching my first ever complete collection of home products with Sears and Kmart is a wonderful opportunity to help their customers live their lives beautifully and simply," she said in a statement.
