MANHATTAN — In a restaurant

The new Andrew Carmellini bar-restaurant-oyster-room, The Dutch, released a video trailer in advance of its opening in SoHo later this month.

The short video features a series of images of places and items from around the city that inspired the new spot, according to The Dutch spokeswoman Jacque Burke. The pictures were edited together in rapid succession and set to a score reminiscent of stadium rock.

Burke said she and designer Phillip Niemeyer "ran around New York for a month and took photos of everything we saw and liked and thought would make sense for the The Dutch."

Carmellini is working with two of his partners from Locanda Verde, Luke Ostrom and Josh Pickard, on The Dutch, which will be located at Sullivan and Prince streets.

The eatery will feature a bar and oyster room in the front and dining room in the back, according to Burke.

You can continue to check in with their website for updates on the eatery's opening date.
