WEST VILLAGE — Water was restored to more than 100 people in the West Village Wednesday evening after a service line at 150 Charles Street was damaged earlier in the day, the Department of Environmental Protection said.

A demolition company working on Charles Street caused the break about 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, according to the DEP.

Water service was restored by 5:30 p.m. that day after the company repaired the damage, the DEP said.
