MANHATTAN — A video shot from an NYPD helicopter showing a 360-degree view of the toppling of the World Trade Center towers on 9/11 was leaked online Sunday.

The video, posted by YouTube user Cryptome 1, was originally obtained by the National Institute of Standards and Technology during its investigation of the collapse of the Twin Towers on September 11.

NYPD officers recorded on the 17-minute video echo the disbelief of New York residents at the catastrophe.

"That's it, that's the biggest disaster in the world — right there," one officer says after a radio dispatch announcing the fall of the North Tower.

The helicopter recording begins right after the plane strikes on both towers and ends with the fall of the North Tower, recorded from a landing spot a safe distance away.

Officers appeared confused after the fall of the First Tower.

"Holy crap! They knocked the whole freakin' thing down," one officer said after the tower collapse.

"How did it fall down?" another asked.

Manhattanites will mark the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks this year.
