MIDTOWN — Carmelo Anthony will send Adam Sandler into a culinary limbo next month when the Stage Deli renames a sandwich after the new Knicks superstar and reprints its menus.

The deli, at 834 Seventh Ave., is famous for naming its triple-decker sandwiches after everyone from Conan O'Brien to Larry David. Staffers confirmed they'll start calling its #7 sandwich — made with Nova Scotia salmon, sturgeon, lettuce, tomato and onion — the "Carmelo Anthony" next month, in a nod to Anthony's jersey number.

That sandwich is currently named for Sandler. The actor will tumble down the menu, but won't disappear.

"We wouldn't dare leave him off the menu," said owner Steve Aubreach. But someone will have to go, though Aubreach wasn't sure who yet.

"Dolly Parton's twin rolls will probably make it another year," Aubreach said, referring to the "twin rolls of Pastrami and corned beef" that are named in honor of the amply-endowed singer.

Aubreach also noted that tween heartthrob Justin Bieber might also be featured on the new menu.

One diner wasn't impressed with Anthony's name being added to the menu.

"It's too early, he hasn't done anything for New York yet," said Deron Blair, 35, of New Jersey.

The name change is the latest move in a rush of Anthony foodie madness that has taken over the city since the former Denver Nugget joined the Knicks.

First came the Carmelo Anthony Sandwich at the Carnegie Deli; then, the "Car-Mellow" shake at Shake Shack, and then the "Hello Melo" Burger at Noah's Ark at 399 Grand St.

Adam Sandler could not be immediately reached for comment.
