UPPER MANHATTAN — Washington Heights flavor is headed downtown as the duo that spoofed rapper Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl song get set to perform their viral hit at SOB’s Sunday night.

The song "Pan con Queso", (Spanish for "bread with cheese"), became an instant hit, scoring 20,000 hits on YouTube after just two days online, and netting a whopping 191,460 views as of Feb. 23.

The rap details the quest of two sleepy-eyed and bedraggled young men as they search for the popular and well-worn Dominican breakfast made up of toasted grilled cheese and a cafecito (coffee) from a local Washington Heights café.

In addition to the video's YouTube success, residents have been sharing the neighborhood-centric version of "Black and Yellow" online using Twitter hashtags panconqueso and TeamPanConQueso.

"Pan Con Queso" producers Mike Diaz, (aka Juan Bago), and Oscar Martinez will perform their viral YouTube hit on Dominican Independence Day, Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at SOB's when they open for singer Maluca.

Producers Mike Diaz, (aka Juan Bago), and Oscar Martinez, 24, both Dominican American residents of Washington Heights, say the viral success is helping them to launch new projects in Upper Manhattan and beyond.

"Going viral makes the world smaller," said Diaz, 33, noting the sometimes-surreal connections between friends and strangers a viral video can attain.

"I love the fact that we are bringing that Washington Heights comedic flavor downtown … and giving positive exposure to the Heights."

The duo plans to perform their hit on Sunday night as they open for the Dominican music artist Maluca at SOB's club on Varick Street. They promise fans that they've got a "small surprise" in store, and plan to show off their "lip-syncing skills."

Pan Con Queso will perform at SOB’s on Feb. 27, at 200 Varick Street, near Houston Street. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., show starts at 9 p.m. 212-243-4940, http://sobs.com.
