LINCOLN CENTER — Best known for her handbags, New York designer Rebecca Minkoff showed off her collection's versatility with her first ever runway show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Friday.

Minkoff's fall/winter 2011 signature leather handbags in a variety of fall colors made their way down the runway in the hands of models clad in leopard print catsuits, black see-through lace leggings and slouchy fur-lined sweaters.

In addition, the collection featured printed skinny pants, BoHo style flowing skirts and fitted trench coats for the fall season.

The runway was lined with stars, including reality TV stars Lo Bosworth and Stephanie Pratt, rapper Eve, British fashion model Agyness Deyn, "Gossip Girl" star Jessica Szohr and actress Michelle Trachtenberg.

"I absolutely loved the collection," Bosworth said after the show. "I can't choose a favorite because I really loved it all."

The show opened with a live musical performance by Sean Lennon and his girlfriend Charlotte Kemp Muhl, and the live music continued throughout the show.

The evening was rounded out with a primary color-themed collection by Nicole Miller.

Bright blue and red hues walked the runway with shining shades of silver and grey. Miller steered clear of the style she's known for — flowing silk dresses.

Almost all of Miller's fall/winter 2011 collection consisted of sportswear with primary color accents, showing how the designer is trying to redefine herself with more versatility in her line.
