MANHATTAN — Justin Bieber was booed at Madison Square Garden Wednesday night by Knicks fans.

The Canadian tween heartthrob, in town for the premiere of his 3D biopic "Never Say Never," got the Reggie Miller treatment from the Garden crowd when he was shown on the arena's Jumbotron sitting courtside next to Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist.

"Why would you boo the kid?" Knicks play-by-play announcer Mike Breen said on the TV broadcast.

Knicks legend Walt Frazier, who also calls Knick games on the MSG Network, said the boos were coming from men in the crowd.

A girl standing nearby was in tears because of her proximity to the pop megastar. She was wearing an Amar'e Stoudemire jersey.

Bieber, who visited Midtown earlier this week for an appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman," didn't mention the rough treatment in his ongoing Twitter monologue.

"Great night," he tweeted. "SPIKE LEE came thru and then i saw him after the movie at the Knick game. great guy."

Lee also dropped by Bieber's premiere at the Regal E-Walk 13 on West 42nd Street.

Concert footage from the film was shot at the Garden.

Meanwhile, the Knicks lost to the Dallas Mavericks, 113-97.
