MANHATTAN — A taxi driver was ticketed by the NYPD for impeding traffic after his car exploded on Second Avenue, the New York Post reported.

The unidentified driver was attempting to free his taxi from a snowy Upper East Side street by stomping on the gas when his car reportedly caught fire and then blew up, the Post said.

The cabbie made it out without injury, but his bad luck wasn't over yet – police officers decided to issue him a summons for blocking traffic, according to the Post.
