MANHATTAN — The body of a man believed to be in his 20s was found floating in the Hudson River Saturday, discovered by a passing boater, police said.

The gruesome find was called in around 12:10 p.m. Saturday afternoon, after being spotted near West 43rd Street, the NYPD said.

The body was removed from the water by the NYPD Harbor Unit and taken to Pier 81, where it was determined to be dead on arrival, according to the department.

The deceased has not been identified. He is described as white, between 20 and 30-years-old, with a beard. He was wearing a brown sweatshirt and light pants when his body was found, according to police.
