MANHATTAN — Three people were evacuated from a ritzy Park Avenue co-op Thursday night after a transformer fire led to unsafe levels of carbon monoxide, fire officials said.

The transformer caught fire around 9:40 p.m. at 700 Park Avenue, between East 69th and East 70th Streets, where apartments have listed at $4.75 million, according to the FDNY.

Carbon monoxide levels were subsequently measured at 70 parts per million, which is high, according to fire officials.

Three people had to be evacuated from the building while emergency service and ConEd workers waited for the colorless, odorless toxin to dissipate, the FDNY said.

No one was injured and firefighters left the scene shortly after midnight, according to officials.
