UPPER WEST SIDE — Officials will answer residents concerns about long waits for repairs, broken elevators, bed bugs and other problems at Upper West Side public housing complexes on Monday night.

Community Board 7's housing committee has invited officials from the New York City Housing Authority to answer questions at a public meeting.

"Whatever they say is going to become public record," said housing committee chair Victor Gonzalez. "Whatever they say, they'll have to be held accountable."

Community Board 7's housing committee recently toured Wise Towers, Amsterdam Houses and Frederick Douglass Houses to talk to residents.

The committee "got an earful" about problems with repairs, garbage collection, bed bugs, mold, and other concerns, Gonzalez said.
