GREENWICH VILLAGE — Elm Health and Elm Drug finally opened a Village outpost 15 years after scoping the location for the first time.

Eric Gleit, 30, opened the new store, called Elm Health and Grocery, at 56 Seventh Avenue along with partner and head pharmacist, Elena Baranov, 39, on Nov. 15.

The owners have another store on the Upper East Side at First Avenue and East 88th Street.

Fifteen years ago, Gleit's uncle and father scoped out the same Greenwich Village location, but the space was not available.

"They always loved the area and this space," Gleit, 30, said of his family's interest in the spot.

The full-service grocery and juice bar includes organic and gluten-free products as well as a pharmacy stocked with traditional and alternative medicine.

Elena Baranov, 39, is a co-owner and pharmacist at the new Elm Health Grocery Store in Greenwich Village.

The business hopes to become the go-to neighborhood place for advice on medicine and nutrition in the same way it did on the Upper East Side, Baranov said.

"I have patients calling me about their grandkids who are in Texas," she said. "I try to tell them what I would do myself."
