MANHATTAN — Derek Jeter is expected to sign a deal that will pay him up to $17 million-a-year and keep him playing for the Yankees.

The New York Post reported the Bomber's captain finalized details on a contract that will pay him between $15 and $17 million for three years, with an option to continue for a fourth year.

The last year is dependent on what happens in the three guaranteed years, the Post reported.

The deal ends a month of negotiations with the shortstop.

The agreement — worth $51 million over the three years - follows an original $45 million original offer. It is expected to be signed Saturday, according to the Post.

The Post reported Jeter wanted a four or five year deal for $23 million a year.
