MEATPACKING DISTRICT — Beyonce and "Glee" actress Charice Pempengco have already sampled the new Darby restaurant, but on Wednesday night the eatery opened its door to the public.

The Darby, which strives for a Prohibition-era "supper club" environment and stands next to a sandwich shop on West 14th Street, is operated by Scott Sartiano and Richie Akiva. The pair, who also own NoLIta's Butter restaurant, will offer food by their longtime collaborator, chef Alexandra Guarnaschelli.

Although the Darby is now officially open, a publicist confirmed on Thursday that the restaurant was keeping a low profile while final tweaks were made.

For the past few months, Sartiano and Akiva have quietly opened the Darby for private events, including Beyonce's birthday party in September, according to the Village Voice.

Workers on W. 14th Street were still readying The Darby for opening on Wednesday morning.

During a preview night last weekend, Pempengco stepped onstage and belted out a Michael Buble tune and the Jackson Five's "I'll Be There," according to the New York Post.

Manhattanites who missed the "Glee" actresses moment can look forward to seeing her silver screen return during the Fox hit's post-Super Bowl episode.
