MANHATTAN — Manhattanites get a brief break from moving their cars this week as alternate side parking is suspended Tuesday through Thursday.
Drivers do still have to feed the meters.
The Department of Transportation's suspension is due to the observance of Idul-Adha, an important Muslim religious holiday.
Regular rules go back into effect on Friday.
Drivers will get another break next Thursday when both parking meters and alternate side parking are suspended for Thanksgiving.
