UPPER WEST SIDE — Synagogues and apartment buildings have tightened security in response to the foiled terrorist plot out of Yemen, reports say.
Jewish houses of worship such as Temple Emanuel on the Upper East Side are taking precautions in the wake of the discovery of packages containing explosive material mailed to two Chicago synagogues from Yemen, according to CBS Channel 2.
Security has also been stepped up at 15 Central Park West, a luxury apartment building that's home to celebrities and prominent New Yorkers such as Alex Rodriguez and Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein, the New York Post reported.
Packages bound for 15 Central Park West are being diverted to another location, according to the Post.
