MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — A drug possession case against rapper "Kid Cudi" will be dismissed in exchange for two days of community service following a deal made Friday, prosecutors said.
Kid Cudi, 26, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, was arrested on June 11 on cocaine possession after allegedly kicking open the door of a female friend's West 24th Street apartment before smashing her cell phone.
He was charged with drug possession and criminal mischief. The latter charge was already dropped.
The remaining possession charge will be dismissed after six months, once Mescudi shows proof he has performed the two days of community service.
Mescudi's lawyer, Stacey Richman, said the star would likely perform community service for a private non-profit organization he has already worked with.
