UPPER WEST SIDE — Lincoln Center has transformed into a runway for Tuesday's Fashion's Night Out: The Show, which will unofficially kick off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

The show was to feature 150 models wearing the latest styles walking past the Revson Fountain at Lincoln Center. Naomi Campbell, Victoria’s Secret angels Alessandra Ambrossio and Adriana Lima, and Coco Rocha were expected to participate.

"It's exciting that Fashion Week is going to be up here this year," said Upper West Side resident Sarah Josephs. "I can't wait to see all the celebrities and fashionistas flocking to the neighborhood."

Tuesday's show is part of Fashion's Night Out, where clothing stores in Manhattan and across the city will stay open late on Friday night and hold special events for shoppers.

The fashon show will be streamed live on CBS.com Tuesday evening and the webcast will be hosted by Vogue editor Andre Leon Talley and fashion blogger and model, Hanneli Mustaparta.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will officially be kicked off by Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Wednesday. Thursday starts with non-stop runway shows and presentations from the world's top designers.

This fall's shows mark the first time that New York Fashion Week will take place at Lincoln Center, rather at Bryant Park.
