MANHATTAN — A pedestrian was taken to the hospital early Monday morning after she was struck by a car in Harlem before the driver fled the scene.

The victim, who was not identified, was crossing an intersection at Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. and West 144th Street about 1:30 a.m. Monday when she was struck by the vehicle, according to a FDNY spokesman.

The victim was left bleeding, with broken bones and in a semi-unconscious state, a fire department spokesman said. She was taken to Harlem Hospital.

The vehicle fled the scene, according to a source. Police said they did not immediately have details on the incident.
