MIDTOWN − It was a 15th birthday unlike any other when Matilda, the feline in residence at the Algonquin Hotel, celebrated with a fashion show for her favorite charity, the North Shore Animal League.

Manhattan's favorite feline was feted by John Fulton from Animal Planet and Howard Stern's wife Beth Ostrosky-Stern at the fashion gala on Wednesday evening.

"This is really a great way to celebrate pets and raise money for the North Shore Animal League," said Ostrosky-Stern who recently adopted a cat named Apple.

"As soon as I walk in the door she greets me with unconditional love. It's wonderful."

Matilda, is the successor to the Algonquin Hotel's first feline cat, Hamlet, a stray who wandered into the hotel in the 1930's.

Nearly 80 years later, she's so tech savvy that she has her own Facebook page and can be followed on Twitter.
