Department of Sanitation Rolls Out New Recycling Collection Times for East Harlem

EAST HARLEM — The Department of Sanitation will roll out new recycling pick-up times for East Harlem starting July 19.

Officials said that during the start-up phase of the new schedule, the agency will not ticket buildings with "failure to store" recycling.

From now on recyling will be picked up on Wednesdays from the east side of Fifth Avenue to the west side of Third Avenue between the north side of 110th Street to both sides of 120th Street. 

Wednesday pick up times will also include Fifth Avenue to the west side of Third Avenue between the north side of East 96th Street to both sides of 110th Street.

Recycling will be picked up between Third Avenue and the FDR Drive from the north side of East 96th Street to both sides of East 110th Street on Tuesdays.
