Police Hunt Woman who Robbed a Flatiron District Bank

FLATIRON DISTRICT — A bank on Sixth Avenue and W. 21st Street was robbed Thursday morning by a woman who fled the scene after passing a note to a teller demanding money.

Police did not immediately know how much cash was stolen from the Flatiorn District branch of Bank of America just before 11 a.m.

The woman, appearing in the security camera photos above, is described as in her 30s between 5'2" and 5'4" at 150 to 160 pounds, according to police.

At the time of the incident, she was seen wearing an orange Mets cap, a grey Yankees T-shirt, blue jeans, large black sunglasses, black flat shoes and carrying a white plastic grocery bag.

Police said she did not display a weapon during the incident and no injuries were reported.
