EAST HARLEM—A police car crashed into a police van while responding to a call Thursday night in East Harlem, police said.

The car was heading north on Park Avenue around 10 p.m. when it collided with the van, which was traveling west on 121st Street, the NYPD said. The force of the impact tore the roof off the car and folded it back over the trunk.

Five officers were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with minor injuries.
