GREENWICH VILLAGE — “Sex and the City” fans touring the film’s key locations could be in for a not-so-sweet surprise.

As “Sex and the City 2" was set to debut Thursday, it was revealed that a stop at Magnolia Bakery is no longer part of On Location Tours' journey through Greenwich Village.

Fans have to be content with stops at Charlotte’s gym, the expensive men’s clothing store where Miranda took Steve shopping for a new suit and Aidan’s furniture company.

An employee for On Location Tours confirmed to DNAinfo that Magnolia Bakery hasn’t been part of the tour for a year now, even though it is advertised on the company's website. Billy’s Bakery in Chelsea has replaced the bakery that was made famous when "the girls" stuffed their faces with cupcakes.

"Our relationship with Magnolia just went south,” the employee said. “Billy’s proved much easier to work with.”

Steve Abrams, Magnolia’s owner, told the Wall Street Journal that the bakery does not anticipate participating in the tour again anytime soon — even though it is selling a special “Carrie” cupcake this week, vanilla cake with pink frosting and a sugar daisy.

Billy’s Bakery was started by former Magnolia employee Lauren Reece.

A spokesperson for Billy’s said: “It’s an honor and privilege to be part of the tour."

"Sex and the City 2" is now in theaters across Manhattan.
