TRIBECA — The dozens of families still waitlisted for PS 234 will have a chance to ask questions at an information session Tuesday night.

The Deptment of Education is holding the session to explain how those waitlisted families will get alternate kindergarten seat offers. The city plans to send out the alternate offers the week of May 17.

Parents who accept an alternate offer can stay on the waitlist at their child’s zoned school and may move back to that school if a seat becomes available, the DOE said.

Some of the waitlisted TriBeCa children will likely go to PS 276 in southern Battery Park City. Others may go to the Spruce Street School, PS 3 in the Village or schools in Chinatown that have available space.

The information session will be held Tues., May 11 at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at PS 89, at 201 Warren St.
